Community Service Opportunities

Current and upcoming community service opportunities:

1. International Sports Festival (Sunday, February 07, 2016):
Volunteer tasks include helping with the sports events to setup and coordinate, serving food and cleaning up etc. You can earn as many as 10 hours of volunteer activities that may count towards your community service hour requirements with EWC.

Please sign up for your suitable time slot @ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19ict3WhFCGLarwSXIvPRy54pNywfisRFYNXk-8yBzK0/edit?usp=sharing

2. Drivers for Weekly Shuttles:

EWCPA is looking for volunteers to drive weekly shopping shuttle. All you need is an international or an American driver’s license! You can now sign-up online at http://tinyurl.com/p2zcpng. Please email Ron (ronvave@hawaii.edu) as well after signing up.

3. IUCN World Conservation Congress
:

Research volunteers (many): Multiple volunteers are needed who can spend 2-3 hours each helping IUCN. Project would be helping the World Conservation Congress Fundraising Committee research and develop brief profiles on several corporate foundations that they would like to make grant request to (note: the list of potential sponsors is quite long, so dividing the list among multiple volunteers would be ideal).

Transcript volunteer (one): One volunteer needed for 3-5 hours. Project would be helping transcribe/draft WCC meeting notes from an audio recording.

Volunteer hours spent on IUCN World Conservation Congress will be counted towards your community service hours for EWC. Anyone interested in volunteering or getting more info should contact Ms. Laurel Pikcunas (lpikcunas@2016wcchawaii.com).
